    The prohibition was created during the war because they said all grain should be used to feed the soldiers instead of making alcohol, they also believed it was a morel sin to drink.
    Some of the positive changes were the crime rate dropped, workers took pay home, people were no longer being arrested for public drunkenness.

    The Role of Women During WWII

    During WWII the role of women shifted because they played an important role while others were fighting in the war. Over 35,000 women volunteered to serve in the war. Many women joined the navy, army, the air force, they were also drivers, cooks, nurses and pilots among other things. Women on home front were also helping with the war efforts. Some of the things women did included producing and conserving food, and worked in different war time industries.

    After WWII ended many jobs were available so people could afford to move away from the city. People were able to do so because they could afford to buy a car. People had more money to spend on new technological innovations such as TVs, radios, and telephones. During 1959 most households had TVs so many programs were becoming popular. For example sports, drama shows and children shows.
