    Velazquez sent men to go capture and bring back Cortes to face the consequences for disobeying his ordsersd but Hernan fought back. Once everything was settled and the Spanish colonized, Cortes sent a letter to the king of Spain saying what he did and what he had to do and that he at atleast defeated the Aztec Empire. Cortes was then appointed governor of the new land of Spain
