    Before Harriet Tubmen changed her name, She was known as Araminta Ross. She was massively injured by a master who had thrown a weight attempted to punish a young man but instead hit her in the head. This accident caused her to have seizures and a visible scar that would affect the rest of her life.

    Harriet escapes
    Harriet ran away after hearing she was to be sold at an auction as well as her brothers. She had taken them with her to the North, and ever since then she began "the underground railroad" and became a famous "conductor". While saving some former slaves, Harriet had risked her own life to save others 19 times, and even once she was almost killed herself.

    She died at the house of the freed slaves of pneumonia on March 10, 1913. Her body was buried at Fort Hill Cemetary in Auburn NY.
