    Harriet tubman was born in 1820 to Harriet “Rit” Green her mother and Her father Ben Ross they both where slaves. She has 8 siblings all where slaves just like her.

    When Harriet was younger she was a nursemaid a nursemaid takes care of the owners baby all night and is not aloud to fal asleep because if the baby cries and wakes up the other the nursemaid would be punished.

    Harriet Tubman died of pneumonia on March 10, 1913. Before her death she told friends and family surrounding her death bed “I go to prepare a place for you”. Tubman was buried with military honors in the Auburn’s Fort Hill Cemetery.
