  • The Beginning of Gun Rights

    10 amendments known as the 10 bills of rights were created, and the second bill is a bill based on gun rights. The second amendment granted the rights to bear arms. The idea was to let regulated militias to own weapons but in the future everyone will be able to own weapons.
  • The Creation Of Gun Manufacture

    FDR passed the National Firearms Act(NFA) as part of his New Deal plan. Due to gangland activity the NFA was meant to impose taxes on the manufacturing and distribution of fire arms. Sue to constitutional flaw the NFA was regulated several times now the tax is 200$ which was really high in this time limiting the civilians ability to purchase or gun companies to manufacture.
  • You Need A License!

    The Federal Firearms act was passed so that every person manufacturing guns or owning them they need a license. This limited the purchases of firearms because in order to achieve a license you needed to qualify for the requirements. Such as having no criminal record.
  • United States V Miller

    This was a court case were the National Firearms Act regulated the interstate selling of a short double barrel shotgun. This made it illegal and people soon will break that law and begin to bring guns into public peaceful places.
  • Trying To End Gun Violence

    After JFK was assassinated senator Robert F Kennedy and Dr. MLK with LBJ helped push for the passing of a Gun Control Act of 1968. This was aimed to control gun violence but it didn't work because a few years later High school shootings became a thing.
  • Protecting Gun Owners

    In this year there was an act that was passed to protect the rights of gun owners. This was the Firearms Owners Protection Act. This began to limit the ATF Inspection per year, these were loose regulations. Although it did limit civilians buying machine guns. This has changed over time because in the future school shootings would be done with military grade weapons such as machine guns.
