On July 14, 2011, Google announced that Google Plus had reached 10 million users just two weeks after the test phase. After four weeks of existance, it had reached 25 million visitors

September 20, 2011, Google Plus was opened to everyone 18 years of age or older without the need for an invitation like before. Previously each user had a limited amount of invitations to send out (150) now unlimited.

October 2011, the service reached 40 million users, by the end of the year Google Plus had 90 million users.

November 7, 2011, Google launched Google Plus Pages, which will let businesses connect with fans to share information or gain support of of compony similar to a Facebook Page. These businesses will receive corporate accounts to start sharing information about themselves and invite others to join in on the conversation

Dec. 11, 2011 Google Plus surpasses 49 million

January 26, 2012, Google opened Google Plus to teenagers. The age limit had previously been 18, By doing this Google hoped to broaden there target market and become a compariable Facebook.
