    On May 7th 1954 the French forces fell to the Vietminh,which resulted in the French withdrawing from indochina to make peace
  • Geneva Accords

    The resulting in the geneva accords provided a temporary division of Vietnam along the17th parallel.The accords called for an election mid 1950s which Diem refused to permit.
