German unification

  • Congress of Vienna

    An attempt to restore order aftrer the Napoleonic Wars. They decided on German Confederation which was the base of German Cooperation and Unity.
  • Zollverein

    A union between many German states in the 1830s. The trade became easier in these states.
  • Revolution of 1848

    In the revolution the liberals demanded German unification.
  • Bismark as Prime Minister

    Otto von Bismark became the Prime Minister of Prussia which had positive effect on the German Unification due to he was a strong leader.
  • North German Confederation

    The formation of the North German Confederation had a positive effect on the unification because they only needed the southern part to join.
  • German Empire

    Huge step to the unification because all German states joined the German Empire except Austria.
  • Germany Adopts Constitution

    They set up a new government for the empire which was really good because now the Empire had a stable government and a strong leader.
