His character brought countless characteristics that we see in modern action films today, mostly his charming personality and the ability to charm the notorious bond girls. -

Indiana Jones made archaeology cool; he battle bad guys escaped the caves all with his hat still on his head. Every kid wanted to go on an adventure with indie; it merged the two genres to create the hybrid Action Adventure. -

Terminator used sci-fi and action to create a perfect cocktail for the cinema audience, not to mention choosing the right star. Arnold schwarzenegger really sticks out as the brand for terminator. It really shows you how important it can be to choose a good cast. "I’ll be back" -

Mission Impossible created a modern James Bond, yet Tom Cruse has ditched the suit and the girls and gained a whole new arsenal of gadgets. It let the viewer imagination run wild with what gadget he could use next. -
Bourn Identity
This action thriller created suspense and drama as we joined Matt on the struggle to find his identity. This helps the audience connect with the main character and gets us guessing what will happen. Not to mention the fact that he makes James Bond look like a wimp. -
Casino Royale
Casino Royal is the origin story of the 007 we 'thought' we knew. The film re-invents James Bond into a darker character that is still learning the ropes to have a license to kill. Yet he still has many aspects of the traditional James Bond, he has them less obviously to stop him being so cheesy. -
Taken
Taken is about a girl who gets kidnapped abroad and sold into the human trafficking sex slave industry. What the kidnappers don't know is her father will do anything to get her back. The Character of a father is not commonly used in the action genre but it creates another side to a mindless killing machine, and the audience relate to him and empathise with him.
