The start of the Great depression with the Stock Market crash. During this time people were desperate and needed any solution to their economic problem. Hitler was able to gain power because of this. -

The Great Depression impacted this, with no money most people were starving. Some committed crimes on purpose so they can enter the jails to get a little bit of food. -

2.5 to 7.5 million died in this famine. The Soviet were wanting more harvests during the Great Depression. When they didn't make enough rations in towns were cut back. Farmers were not allowed to eat their own food. Some people looked to cannibalizism. -

It is debated that WW2 was brought on by the great depression. Along with the war Hitler was preparing and building camps to exterminate anyone who was not pure German (Arian), mostly Jews, the handicapped, and gypsies. -

Those who were put in concentration camps worked until they could no more. Once they could not work they were sent to the gas chambers and put to death. Afterwards their bodies were burned in the cremetorium, Jewish slave workers would be the ones to empty the bodies out of the chamber. Children, the elderly and those who couldn't work from the start were sent straight to the cremetorium. Families were seperated and those who survived live to tell the tale. -

India has gained it's independence. Sikhs suffered more greatly than the hindus or muslims. Almost 2.5% of the SIkh community was lost. The events leading to Indias independence was a genocide massacre similar to the holocaust. -

Genocide in amritsar. Brought on by the Prime Minister of India, Indira Gandhi. The Sacred Golden Temple was destroyed with most people trapped inside dead. -

Indira Gandhi was assasinated by her own body guards, bringing an end to the genocide. Some remember it as "The Sikh Genocide of 1984" -
Rwandan Genocide
Lasting 100 days
The Tutsi's were killing the Hutus.Machetes were used in this genocide. This wasn't a very planned and organized genocide like the Holocaust but, the killings were very demonic and gruesome compared to the Holocaust. Around 500 000 to one million died in the genocide. No one came to help them, thus resulting in the Rwandans to not rely on the international community any more. -
