Genghis Khan timeline.

Genghis Khan (Temujin) was born in 1162 between the border of Mongolia and Siberia. His parents were Yesugei (father and Hoelun (mother). Legend has it when Teamujin was born he was clenching a bloody clot in his right hand. This event is significant because Temujin would earn the name Khan for his military and leadership skills. He would also construct and rule one of the most powerful empires in Asia. He would also become the most powerful and successful person in Asia. (Taylor-8)

When Temujin was nine, his father took him to a neighboring tribe to work for several years and earn a bride. His intended was a slightly older girl named Borje. At age 16 he was free to do what ever he wanted so he went back to find Borje. She was also waiting for his return, so they got married. This event is significant because it created an alliance with the powerful Kereyid clan. Borje would also birth Temujin's first of many sons and daughters. (Thoughtco.com).

The earliest windmills to be made in Europe had a post-mill structure. The name is derived from the fact that the main structure sits on a post, usually a wooden post, that allows the entire structure to turn to face the wind. The post-mill could not face the wind on its own. It was turned by a long beam attached horizontally to the body of the mill. When Temujin was about 20, he was captured in a raid by former family allies, the Taichi'uts, and temporarily enslaved. He escaped with the help of a sympathetic captor, and joined his brothers and several other clansmen to form a fighting unit.This event is significant because it started his ascent to power by building a army of over 20,000 men. this would lead him to avenge his father who was killed. Temujin's combination of outstanding military tactics and merciless brutality, he avenged his father's murder by decimating the Tatar army. Temujin's Mongols then defeated the Taichi'ut using a series of massive cavalry attacks, including having all of the Taichi'ut chiefs boiled alive. He then defeated the powerful Niaman tribe. the second era of the Mayan civilization had just started. This era was considered the peak of their civilization.The civilization had various distict groups within its vast inhabited territory. The Mayans had lived in Belize/Mexico but some people say they had lived in Guatemala. the Mayans thought soon left thier cities in Belize to discover more land.This event is significant beacuse the Mayan civilization was the most successful civilization at the time.(Grun 161) (belize.com)

During the 1200s alcohol starts to be used as medication. Alcohols, in various forms, are used within medicine as an antiseptic, disinfectant, and antidote. Applied to the skin it is used to disinfect skin before a needle stick and before surgery. By the end of the 12th century, Paris had become the political, economic, religious, and cultural capital of France. The royal residence, was located at the western end of the Île de la Cité. Napoleon, after long hesitation between Paris and Lyon (Lyon, capital of the Gauls against Paris and its "mob"), decided to establish the capital of his empire, not without reluctance. this event is significant because it shows how France wanted to create a stable government.( quora.com)(Grun 161)

When Genghis Khan became the leader of Mongolia he wanted to change some things within his country. He wanted to pass a several amount of new laws as he didnt like the ones already in place. He was military was leader so he wanted to have military dicipline. Wanted to modify the tribes with in his country to suit his imperial ambitions. This reform enabled him to maintian a strong central government. this event is significant beacuse Genghis Khan wanted to be a strong powerful leader.(Taylor 30)

Genghis Khan wasted no time in capitalizing on his divine. As the population grew in his army as well as for his country food and resources became scarce. In 1207 he lead his armies against the kingdom of XI Xia and forced them to surrender after 2 years of war. Then his armies struck the Jin Dynasty in northern china, for the endless rice dields and easy pickings of wealth. This event is significant because it shows hoe Genghis Khan cared for his country for there lack of food.(biography.com)

As far back as the 8th century, there is written record of monks drinking tea in Japan to aid in meditation. China had given the Japanese in 1211. At the time in China, tea was primarily white and served in powdered form, as was customary during the Song Dynasty. This event is significant because it created good relations with e chinese and the Japanese until the 1700s.(teaclass.com)(Grun 161)

Genghis Khan had many armies in the west against the Muslim world. He wanted to create trade relations with the Khwarizm Dynasty lead by Shah Muhammed using dipomacy. The Mongol diplomatic mission was attacked by Shah becuase he thought it was a spy mission. Genghis Khan heard of this event and attacked Shah. He brought city after city to its knees. He then killed Shah.This event is significant beacuse it shows that Genghhis Khan had no tolerance if someone attacked him.(Thomas 14)

Genghis Khan called a family kuriltai to discuss the succession. His four sons disagreed over which should be Great Khan. Jochi, the eldest, was born soon after Borje's kidnapping and might not be Genghis Khan's son, so second son Chagatai challenged his right to the title. As a compromise, the third son, Ogodei, became the successor. Jochi died in February who passed away that autumn. This event is significant beacuse it shows how his sons wanted to carry out his succesion.(livescience.com)

Genghis Khan dies in 1227 after falling off his horse during a military campaign in china against the Xi Xia. He was 62 years old the wounds were too sever for medication. This event is significant because Khan's empire would not fall yet. His many sons he had would inherit the empire and lead it themselves. Some of his sons were to disappoint the empire, but one would stand out Kublai. (Taylor 83).

Japan is a well-wooded country, and wood has always been used there for domestic utensils of all kinds, either in a natural state or lacquered. Until recent times, pottery and porcelain were not employed extensively for general domestic use but were reserved for such special purposes as the tea ceremony. Japanese potter liked to reveal the impress of the hand that made the object. this event is significant because it would lead to different kinds of pottery around the world.(Grun 169)

His sons inherited his empire. Alot of his sons failed to contiune his raiegn as best as Genghis Khan did. Many of his sons didnt like the new rules he had laid down before but many still contiuned to raid lands. His grandson was the best of the new Khans. Kublia was the most successful he defeated Arik Boke who was fighting to gain control of the empire but Kublia won and was granted the name Great Khan.
