Genghis Khan conquers the Jin dynasty. They took the capital, Zhongdu, and the Jin leader agreed to give them silk, silver, gold, and horses

Defeats Khwarezm Empire

Genghis Khan defeats the Khwarezm Empire in what is present day Tukmenistan, Uzbekistan, Afghanistan, and Iran. The Mogols swept through many of their cities and killed almost everyone in their path.

Death

Aug 18, 1227

Genghis Khan was thrown off of a horse causing internal injuries while on a campaign to defeat the Xi Xia. He did not recover from his injuries and died before the mongols conquered the Xi Xia.
