First Mongolian Attack

Mongolians launch first attack against Xi Xia kingdom of northwest China, initiating a siege that failed to enter the city, but suceeded in making the leader of Xi Xia pay tribute and forfeit.

Mongolians Second Attack

From 1211 to 1214, Mongolians attack the countryside of the Jin Dynasty, forcing refugees into the capital city. In 1214 Mongolians siege the city and the Jin Dynasty surrenders and hands over large amounts of silk, silver, gold and horses.

Mongolia Goes to War

Mongolians war with the Khwarezm Empire because they had broken their trade agreement by killing Mongolia's ambassadors and raiding their supply caravan.

Genghis Returns to Mongolia

Mar 28, 1225

Genghis returns to Mongolia, controlling a large amount of land. He then turns his attention to the Xi Xia Dynasty, who refused to supply Mongolia with troops for the war with the Khwarezm Empire.

Genghis is Mortally Wounded

Genghis is thrown to the ground by his horse, causing internal injury that never fully healed as he continued his campaign against the Xi Xia dynasty,

Genghis Khan Dies

Genghis dies of his internal injuries on August 18th, 1227, conquering over twice as much land as any other person in history.
