The rebellion now had people from the countryside joining. Many nobles died in house fires while others lost all of their money. The Storming of the Bastille happened in Paris and is seen in France how Americans see July 4th. That day many were rioting and searching for things like weapons and gunpowder when they decided to storm a prison called the Bastille. The wardens were killed and carried around the heads and limbs on wooden sticks as they marched. This was important because it showed the nobels how serious people were. Cite

Because the Nobels were scared for their life and money they made a statement, this statement was very similar to the declaration of independence. Although a few tried to have this statement apply to women as well they were sentenced to death and executed. It is implied that most people at the time have never even seen the king, only paintings. After the new constitution was made the government started to split into 3 groups. These groups were commonly known as the Left, Right, and Center. These groups sealed with the people. I think this is an important part of history because it shows how France slowly came to what it is today. link :)

Prussians were attacking Paris, France. With all the worry is Paris chaos came when radical leftists broke into prisons and killed more prisoners, (again.) This caused France to identify and a republic. This is important because France was trying to do anything to survive.
