    Frederick was caught trying to escape Prussia into England with his friend, Hans Herman Von Katte, because of they were unsatisfied with their home lives. Hans Herman Von Katte was then executed with Frederick forced to watch.

    Fredrick's unsuccessful marriage with Elizabeth Christine of Brunswick was arranged by his father.
