    Frederick was born by his Father, Frederick William I, and his mother, Sophia Dorothea of Hanover. He was born in Berlin, which during the time was part of Prussia.
  • Frederick the Great Put In Prison

    Frederick as a child hated his father. Frederick William would abuse his son and his wife. During an effort to escape Prussia, Frederick the Great was put in prison, while his mother got beheaded

    After his fathers death, Frederick the Great takes his fathers place as leader of Prussia.
  • Frederick wins first military victory

    Frederick and Prussia win the battle of Mollwitz which gained a large amount of terrritory for Prussia and increased his population.
  • Frederick begins the Seven Years' War

    In effort to end and alliance building between Austria, France, and Russia Frederick the Great would start the Seven Years' War. Throught the tough fought war, Frederick lost a lot of his men.
  • Frederick participates in the First Partition of Poland

    Prussia, Austria, and Russia sign a treaty so split Polands territory into thirds. This new land gives Prussia a great gain in economical and geologial statistics.
  • Death

    Twenty years after Frederick the Great's death, Prussia collapsed to only to be taken over by another great leader Napoleon.
