After the revolution, George Washington and his comrades decided there needed to be a new constitution. 38 out of 41 delegates signed the new constitution. Only 5 states ratified the new constitution. Later 3 more states signed. While Virginia and New York were the last two states to sign. Now, the new constitution is ratified. -
Inauguration of President George Washington
When George was first inaugurated, he was worried about his position. He was very uncertain that he was the right man for the job. Part of his inauguration was that he got the 13 rifle salute. Everyone was very happy about George becoming the first president, but George himself was very worrisome about how he would do. He eventually overcame that feeling, and become a great leader. -

George Washington had went out during the rain and snow, he came back home was was told he should change out of his wet clothes, but did not. The next morning he decided to go back outside. When he came home he had gotten very sick, and around 23 pints of blood was taken within 3 days. A few days later he passed in his bed. -
