Throughout the 1400's a lot of important things occured. For starters Muslim and Italian merchants had all of the trade routes under control, this led to Europeans going around them and exploring different places. Later on Prince Henry the Navigator sent expeditions to establish trade routes with other countries. After that, The Ming Dynasty sent an explorer name Zheng He, he did many important things like bringing resources from other countries and also brought exotic animals back to China.

In 1492 columbus sailed the ocean blue. His trip was funded by King Ferdinand and Queen Isabella of Spain, he later discovered land

Pope Alexander VI split the newly dscovered land between Portugual and Spain

He discovered a trade route to India. He later traded with them and brought what he gathered back to Portugual.

In the year 1500 he discovered Brazil, he stayed in their for ten days then left on his and aimed for India for trade. They were attacked by Muslims becuase of the trading competition and 50 crew members died. He sucessfully reached India and began to trade for spices.

He went on another expedition to India where he was attacked by Muslim traders. Two decades later, he went back to India as a Viceroy and died of an illness in late 1524.

Captured Malacca. Said he came in peace but later betrayed the trust of them and used violence to take control.

He set sail from Spain to discover a sea route to the Spice Islands in Indonesia. He later on went and discovered the straight he wanted and it is now called The Straight of Magellan.

Spain and the Phillipines traded with each other. They traded spices, resources, and others.

Magellan became well know but this even would make him remembered forever. He decided to sail around the world! The feat was accomplished but Magellan died before they fully made it around.

The Happy Return is referring to when the Dutch returned from Asia and brought spices and goods. It made the Dutch enthusiastic and soon got eager to start heading to sea more often.

In Japan they enjoyed trading with western merchants and exchanging goods. Soon they herad of attacks and quickly shut the gates from trade. They allowed one ship from Portugual to keep them updated on trade and what was going on in the ouside world.
