Where I'm From Poem
I’m from living in the same house since kindergarten,
from having two parents to four. I’m from growing up
as an only child to having a brother and a sister.
I’m from a mother saying “find the good in a bad
situation no matter how hard it may be” and
“Jesus can’t bless what you curse”.
I’m from having a grandma who takes
me home to the UK to visit family,
from getting the chance to travel instead
of day dreaming about it.
I’m from a detective father and a Signal 20

Spring Break 2012

Where I'm Going Poem
I’m going off to start a whole new beginning.
I’m Going off to college to become independent and figure things out for myself,
Going to strive to get the best grades I can get so I can start my career as soon as possible,
I’m going into the real world.
I’m going to teach.
I’m going to help shape the young minds of the future,
Going to give kids hope and knowledge.
I’m going to inspire.
