    F.M. was born in 1480 in Portugal and was able to become Queen Leonora's page. As he grew up, he became interested about the spice trade route and had a dream to discover another route to Asia/another trade route. This goal was mostly inspired by the competition between Spain and Portugal over finding another path to Asia.

    When F.M. was young, the Arabs were in control of the Spice Route, which Portugal tried to take over, so the Portuguese and the Arabs went to war and F.M. decided to join the army. Unfortunately as F.M. was fighting, F.M. was stabbed on the knee and was left with a permanent limp. Although F.M. had many known talents, his limp gave him a bad reputation as he tried to use his title as a great solider to pursuade the King of Portugal to finance a voyage around the globe. The king refused.

    Since F.M. life in Portugal was at a steep downfall, F.M. left Portugal to Spain forever, where he got married and received the King of Spain's sponser on the voyage to find a new path to Asia. With the king's money, F.M. managed to find and repair 5 small and weak ships along with a purchase of storage food with the mind of buying food that does not expire quickly. Gathering crew was so hard, F.M. only managed to hire 277 criminals on the run and men desperate for money.

    F.M. started his journey and began face with rebellion, later on shortage of food, fresh water and crew (they are dying off), violent storms, unfamiliar navigation, and troubling geographical feature. Fortunately, F.M. came along several lands that acted as a checkpoint or drive-stop (supplyment of food and other materials).

    The Philippines (ME)
    F.M. came upon the Philippines and discovered hints of wealth amongst the people they met. F.M. and his crew started giving out gifts in hope of creating a good relationship and believed the people need to know about God; F.M. baptized many natives there. Although he was able to baptize 2200 people, many natives disagreed to the religion and his king and therefore went to ships, dressed crew volunteers with armor and weapons, and went to shore to battle for his king.

    To claim the Philippines to Spain, F.M. battle with the natives of the Philippines, but his most of his men cowered away as F.M. and several brave men fought off showers of arrows. It is recorded that F.M. fought bravely and to his very best, but unfortunately was killed. The End. (Of F.M.'s life)
