Hudson's ship, the Discovery, took to the ocean to find the Northwest Passage for the Dutch East India Company again. He found the Hudson river, and Bay, which he thought was the Pacific Ocean.

Henry's crew wanted to go home, but Hudson thought there was more to see. So, the crew did a mutiny. Henry, his son John, and seven men of the crew who were to sick to sail, were put in the ship's rowboat, were towed along by the ship for a while, and the rope was cut.

Henry died on the Hudson Bay from starvation.
