Prince Henry founded his first navigition school in 1419, where students learned to make maps and how to nagivate. This ended up putting Portugual in the lead for exploration.

Ming China beame isolated because they had all the resources they needed. Other countries that wanted to trade with them had to come to China and preform the ritual known as "Kowtowing". Having the isolationist policy lead to the downfall of the Ming Dynasty.

Christopher Colomus was sent to explore and try and find a route to Asia to retrieve their spices. He instead landed upon what is now known as America, but he thought it was India so he named the people there "Indians".

Spain and Portugal were competing for land that Colombus found. The Pope drew a line to establish what land was whos called the line of Demarcation Portugal didn't think it was fair, so the line moves over. The name of this was the Tready of Tordesillas.

Vasco De Gama headed over to the Cape of Good Hope. He setup a port at Calicut. Because of this, Portugal became very wealthy very quickly.

Tokugawa Ieyasu was appointed to shogun by the Emperor. He soon came up with idea to unify Japan, where Daimyos families were held hostage in Edo. The Daimyos were to be at the states that they were the Daimyo of for a year, then they would visit their families in Edo for a year. This worked for 250 years.

The Ming fell because they isolated themselves. They fell behind, and the Manchus from the north invaded.
