    Columbus set to sail for spain to find a new west water route to India or Asia. Instead he found the New world (North and South America) even though he didnt know he did. While bieng in the New World he found Gold, other useful things and Native Americans (Indians). This was very important because since he was sailing for spain and they were broke because of the war with the moors. bringing back gold was very important because of this.

    Cortez set out to find gold, and he found Tons of it. While searching he conquered the aztec empire. It was important to conquer the Aztecs because they were going to kill them. After he coonquered it he built a city right on top as a sign saying you are not coming back.
