    The Stamp Act
    The purpose of the tax was to help pay for the troops stationed in North America after the Seven Years’ War. Paper was taxed; if you want to buy something then you needed to have a pocketbook that proved that you paid the tax, you were given a stamp. Many colonists believed it was a violation of their rights as Englishmen to be taxed without their consent. This Act was the idea that the British could get away with taxing the colonies so Britain would have more money and power.

    The Boston Massacre
    A group of patriots were throwing snowballs sticks, and rocks. So the British captain ordered for backup because the colonists attacked a British sential. When the reinforcements were called in they too were attacked so they fired into the group of patriots killing 3 people and wounding 8, of which 2 died for a total of 5 dead.     The Boston Tea Party
    American patriots dressed as Mohawk Indians and dumped all tea that was on three ships in the Boston harbor, about 10,000 pounds of tea. They were outraged with the taxes and prices Britians were putting on our country and decided to rebel.

    The Intolerable Acts
    A series of laws that the British Parliament passed that caused an outrage ultimately caused the American Revolution. The British Parliament wanted to tax the Americas and make them feel small. And they wanted to just rule everything they did which is why they moved in the first place. The Americans revolted and started to wage war on the British that lead to the American Revolution.
  • Battle at Lexington and Concord

    Battle at Lexington and Concord
    It was fought by the patriots against the British. They don’t know who fired the first shot. but it started with around 700 British and 75 patriots. The British charged at the patriots and then headed back to town, soon there were 1500 patriots gathered placing the city under siege. It happened because we did not want to pay the high taxes and we wanted our freedom. It was the start of the revolutionary war.
