Events leading to the American Revolution

  • The Revolution

    The American Revolution starts. George Washington and the 13 colonies want independence from Britain and King George III. The war is intense.
  • The purpose for battle

    The purpose for this revolution is that the colonists wanted independence from Britain. After the battle ends, The Declaration of Independence must be signed. So the colonists fought the battle.
  • Attack!

    The British (also known as the Redcoats, because of their redd coats,of course, were easy to spot) sent soldiers to attack the americans. By then, First President George Washington was a General for the american army.
  • Will the Declaration of Independence be signed?

    The Declaration of Independence must be signed to claim the US separation from Britain. John Hancock and Benjamin Franklin signed the Declaration as well as 54 other people.
  • Captured!

    In a peaceful little village, guarded my a army, the British tried a attack, but got captured. So that made the British army weaker and the US army stronger.
  • Captured again!

    This time, in Yorktown, the British tried to attack again. But again, the British army failed. They added on to the army. By now, the British army was outnumbered by alot. So the attacks could be quite easy now.
  • The treaty of peace!

    The Treaty of Peace is signed by the British to extend the area that Britain owned now became the US's.Not all the states will be added to the country until 1950.
  • Freedom!

    Now this year, we are a free country. Separated from Britain, no anger growing between countries (exept the Afganastan war).
