  • Jamestown

    Jamestown was established in Virginia. Named after King James.
  • First African Slaves

    The first ship of African slaves was brought over on a Dutch ship to Jamestown.
  • Mayflower Compact

    A document signed on the Mayflower ship. The first act of government in the Plymouth colony.
  • New Amsterdam

    New Amsterdam was taken over by the English from the Dutch. Which was later named New York.
  • Boston

    After a fleet of ships left England they settled in the Massachusetts Bay colony which became Boston.
  • Small pox

    Smallpox hits and lowers the population of Natives and Europeans.
  • Fundamental Orders of Connecticut

    A government was set up to have structure and power of Connecticut.
  • Bacon's rebellion

    A rebellion against the government. Led by Nathanial Bacon.
  • Glorious Revolution

    The term used to the events that led up to the deposition of King James II.
  • Salem Witch Trials

    People accused of being witches and being prosecuted. Over 200 were accused and 30 were found guilty.
