    This case was on behalf of seven students with similar situations based on various characteristics such as behavioral, hyperactivity, and emotional disturbed. The school denied them educational services based on characteristics that demonstrated their disability.     Board of Education of Hendrick Husdon Central School District v. Rowley
    The school refused to provided a sign language interpreter for the student. Her parent filed suit under the Education for All Handicapped Children Act of 1975. The court ruled that public schools must provided an appropriate education for all students with disabilities. An individualized education plan (IEP) must be developed with parent and teacher to meet their child's overall learning needs in their least restrictive environment.

    This was a student who was in a wheelchair and dependent upon a ventilator. The school decline being financially responsible for the students well-being. The court ruled under the Individuals with Disabilities Education Act that the school would provide school health services from a school nurse and/or other qualified individuals. However, medical services are to be provided by the child's primary physician.
