  • Hendrick Hudson Central School District vs. Rowley

    Amy Rowley was a deaf learner, although she was very perfect in lip reading but had minimal residual hearing the school's administrator assumed that the student can learn without the interpreter. The parents decided to sue the institution for denying their child her learning rights. The school violated the Education of All Handicapped Children Policy that was formulated in 1975.
  • Timothy W. vs. Rochester School District

    Timothy is a student who was born with mental problems and is handicapped. He had a number of developmental disabilities. When Timothy went to school, the institution failed to provide the required services. The parents, therefore, decided to sue the school but the court did not offer any assistance. The judges argued that the student did not qualify for the services.
  • Cedar Rapids vs. Garrett F.

    In this case, the court ruled that a certain local school failed to offer the required services to their students. Garrett was in need of a wheelchair but the school’s management ignored it. The institution had a duty to provide school health services to disabled students. Enter
