    King Henry VIII was born on June 28, 1491 in the Greenwich Palace. He wasnt expected to become king because he was the second son, until his older nrother died.Later on, Henry was allowed to marry Catherine, Arthers wife before he died. He was 18 when he took throne. Henry broke away from the roman church to the church of england because he wanted a divorce with his wife because they had a daughter not a son. The pope denied the divorce so he went to the church of england so the pope couldnt.JP
