Turbos and superchargers are made to add HP to the engine. Turbos usually need intercoolers to cool the air off before it enters the combustion chamber. Superchargers dont use intercoolers but they can be used. Superchargers create low RPM boost but they dont make alot of boost around 16 to 18psi. Turbos create alot of boost but not until higher RPMs. Turbos can make up to about 30 to 40psi.
