Three hundred-mainly Mexican-people settled here. This is the colony's main settlement, overlapping with those of Dewitt's colony. Numerous ckashes occured between the men, officials usually deciding in De Leon's favor.

In the 1830's San Felipe developed into the largest business center in Texas, after San Antonio of course. San Felipe's main street in Atascosito road and it is lined with many shops and various banks.

New colony's main town. Near Comanche hunting ground and suffered numerous attacks, this colony grew very slowly.

Located along the Guadalupe river, colony's main town. The location of this settlement made it exposed to many American Idian attacks. This is a very poor colony.

Located on the site of an old mission. Both Irish and Mexican settlers came to the colony which had 200 land grants already by the time of 1835.
