    Eleanor was born in 1884 on October 11th. When Eleanor was born her parents wanted a boy but it turned out to be a girl. Eleanor was very quiet after she was born. When they first saw Eleanor she was a little bit ugly. She didn't know why her mother Anna was beautiful and she wasn't.
  • Hurtful Names

    Ever since Eleanor was born people called her names like " Ugly Duckling" and " Ugly," but her mother the beautiful Anna called her a "Granny." When Anna and Elliot ( Mom and Dad)went on vacations,Anna wanted to leave Eleanor at the house everytime thay left so they did. Since Eleanor has benn called so many names she lost her self confidence and is now shy and afraid.

    The Stricted Rules of Grandmother Hall
    When both of Eleanor's parent's died, she and her brothers go live with Grandmother Hall. Grandmother Hall has alot of stricted rules like they aren't aloud taking bathes/showers that are hot they have to take it cold. Also they weren't aloud to read but Eleanor kept sneaking books out of Grandmother Hall's library and she would go read it in the woods,in the park or even Grandmother Hall's attic.

    Even though Grandmother Hall was strict she still cared a little bit for Eleanor. Grandmother Hall cared about her so much she sent her to a private school of girls at Allenswood and the school helped herself hace confidence about herself and made her feel pretty and smart and it influenced her to be who she wants to be.

    Before Eleanor's fater died, he told her that she was beautiful and that he will always be with her in her heaart. He told her to never give up and believe in herself and thats what she did and it made her feel better about herself.

    In San Francisco on April 18,1906 at 5:12 a.m their was a very large earthquake that hit San Francisco. Their was fire in the city for 4 days and it almost burnt a whole town.3,000 people might have died and 250,000 people were left homeless.

    When Eleanor was little her mom assignes her a tutor but even when she had a tutor and she still struggled with school. Even though Eleanor struggled, now Eleanor is a techer. Eleanor teached at the Todhunter School for girls. She is a History and Literature teacher.

    She was inspired by Franklin when he became president because she wanted to be involved as the First Lady so she expanded the traditional role of the First Lady. Also, because Franklin was President, she wanted to be the First Lady of a State so she picked New York.

    Eleanor's last apperance was on July in 1962 at the Democratic Rally to give her speech. After she was done with her speech she shook hands afterward with people and then she murmured, " I don't feel very well." Those were her last words. Apparently Eleanor died becuase of tuberculosis. She was determined to spend her last few days with her children. Then she died at her New York City Residence.
