Kindergarten
I began my education at a private Christian school in my Kindergarten year. This school was run by the funds from tuition parents paid to have children attend there. -
Elementary School-Junior High
I continued my education at Christian Community School from K-8th grade. The student population was predominately white and Asian, with most of the kids coming from well-off Silicon Valley parents. Our classrooms were small, as well as our student population. My 8th grade promotion had 35 students in the ceremony. -
My first experience in public school- High School years
After my 8th grade promotion, I had the option to stay in private school. However, I told my family that I wanted to attend a public high school. I spent my time at Irvington High School in my hometown, Fremont, CA. This was the first time I was exposed to all sorts of different student backgrounds.
