Week 1 read from 1 to 27 ive learned that are 5 factions in the "future world" and Beatrice (the main charatcer) is part of the Abnegation faction which believes in being selfless. after they turn 16 they take a test that determines there life, the test is not allowed to be prepared for and the test helps determine what faction you are in the resdt of your life, if you leave your faction u can never see your family again -

Pg27 to61. After Beatrices test scores she is told she is Divergent asnd that its very riskey and that she has to choose carefully of what faction she wants to join. She chooses Dauntless which seeks thrill and excitment of doing dangerous things. she get to choose her new name after she passes inisiation and she chooses the name Tris. and she meets a boy named 4. -

Tris is now in the initiation process. The first whole week she learns how to defend herself, since shes smaller then the others she need to become extra handy with a gun and learn how to use her elbows and knees to help her defend herself. Four is there trainer so he is always around and there is someting about him that keeps Tris wanting to know him more and more. Initiation Begins! -

Tris had to go up into a fight against her rival Peter. He made her pass out and gave her the biggest brusies all over her body she woke up in the Dauntless hospital only being able to open one eye. Al, Will, and Christina greet her and let her know about who won the fights. Later that night she goes back into the dormitory and she wakes up to a scream of Edward who now has a knife in his eye. Thanks to Peter and his friends who are jealous of Edward being #1 on the list of initiates. -

The next step after the elimination of the initiates who failed the 1st step is now the stimulation process. This is where you get injected in the neck with liquid and you get put in some of your worst fears and when you calm your heartbeat you can get out of your stimulation. After her 2nd stimulation Four realizes that Tris is Divergent and tells her she need to control her results because if the leaders find out they'll kill her. Four and Tris have started to show affection toward eachother. -

The Edurite faction tricks the Dauntless into forming an army to try to take over the Abnegation faction. the serum that was shot into there necks was a long term stimulation serum that allowed the erudite to control the Dauntless. They went into Abnegation and started shooting everyone without even being consious. Since Tris and Four are both Divergent the serum doesnt affect them so they try to save the people and they end up with the harddrive and go to Amity until they can stop Eurdite
