    Bring Back Our Girls
    In 2014, the #BringBackOurGirls social media campaign reached its peak. 276 school girls were kidnapped by the terrorist group Boko Haram. This hashtag was shared hundreds of thousands of times on Twitter, which was their main platform.
  • Black Lives Matter

    Black Lives Matter
    According to their website ,"The official #BlackLivesMatter Global Network builds power to bring justice, healing, and freedom to Black people across the globe." It started in 2013 but Black Lives Matter activists became involved in the 2016 United States presidential election. The hashtag has been used nearly 30 million times on Twitter.

    Love Wins
    On Friday, June 26, 2015, the Supreme Court of the United States ruled in favor of marriage equality in a 5–4 decision. The fundamental right to marriage is a fundamental right for all. Main social media used was Facebook and Twitter. Facebook people changed their profile pictures and Twitter used the #Lovewins.

    5 For The Fight
    5 For the Fight invites everyone to give $5 for the fight against cancer. This started in 2016 but because of Qualtrics 5 For The Fight became the jersey patch for the Utah Jazz starting in 2017. Our fundraising efforts come through employee giving programs, apparel sales, and point-of-sale donations and fans join two 5 For The Fight nights each Utah Jazz season. They used Instagram to post pictures.
  • ME TOO Movement

    ME TOO Movement
    This is a movement against sexual harassment and sexual assault. It was spread on many different social media outlets like Facebook, Instagram, Twitter and YouTube. Twitter had over 19 million tweets. On their website it says, "Our goal is to re-frame and expand the global conversation around sexual violence to speak to the needs of a broader spectrum of survivors." They were making it easier for women to be able to share and have support.
