    First learning to crawl is a very important event. It marks the stage where I as a a baby wasfirst mobile. It relates to Piaget's sensorimoter stage, since I begin to feel and observe the world around me.

    First Words
    When a baby uses their first words it marks a point where the baby has the abiliy to communicate with other humans. My first word were apparently truck, but my vocaubluar quickly expanded. This event links to Piaget's preoperational stage, when a child learns language but doe not understand its logic.
  • Stealing from cookie jar at night

    Stealing from cookie jar at night
    At this age, I began to realize that taking cookies out of the cookie jar without permission was bad, and I was punsihed for it. In order to avoid punishment, I would wait until everyone is asleep and then go take cookies out of the cookie jar. This is important because is shows t hat I developed the idea of avoiding punishment. This links to Kohlberg's theory of moral development, specifically the preconvential morality stage, where basic ideas of morality are learned.

    I ran a business for the first time; a lemonade stand. It was very successful, and I made $50. This was the first time where I developed a sense of initiative. This relates to Erickson's stage of initiaitve in his development model.

    After calling a women overweight at the super market, I felt bad, since nobody else was supprting me. This means that I had developed morailty based on the social norms around me. This relates to Kohlber's idea of conventional moraliry, where social norms are learned.
  • Became very interested in history

    Became very interested in history
    This was the age where I began to take great interest in the study of history. I did so because the logical connection between successive events interested me. I began to understand that no event was in a vacuum. This event relates to Piaget's concrete operational stage of development, since I began to obtain the mental faculties that allowed me to think logicall about events.
  • Became very interested in mathematics

    Became very interested in mathematics
    This was around the time that I developed a great interest in mathematics. Rather than history, which dealt with concrete ideas, mathematics was abstract, so this signals that I began to develop the ability to think abstractly. This event relates to Piaget's formal operational stage of development.
  • I choose to hang out with the "nerdy" kids at school

    I chose the hang out with the "nerdy" kids rather than the "cool" kids because I decided that the latter was not what I wanted to become. THis was important because I defined my identity a bit that day, since I was making the choice of who to associate with. This relates to the identity stage of Erikson's development model because I am asnwering the question "Who am I?"

    This is the day I got married. It answers the question "I do have the poential to love in this world." It relates to Erikson's idea of intimacy in his developmental model.
  • Make the decision to volunteer on regular schedule

    Make the decision to volunteer on regular schedule
    This is the day that I decided to volunteer much more, since I began to develop the feeling that I am not making enough impact on enough people. This is imporrtant because it helps me prove to myself that I can impact other people. This relates to Erikson's idea of generativity in his development model, since I am answering the question "Can I make my life count?"
