The first military engagements in the war against the British rule. -
Start of the American Revolution
Fed up with British rule, the colonists begin fighting back against them in the start of what we call the American Revolution. -
The Declaration of Independence
In July of 1776 the Declaration of Independence was approved by Congress and was signed in August. -
The End of the American Revolution
The end of the revolution came with the signing of a peace treaty that made Americas independence official.
