  • 20s

Make sure to exercise plenty and eat well. Make sure everything is in moderation and you're getting the nutrients you need. Get regular checkups. One thing to be especially aware of in your 20s is mental health, as you are likely to be going through many life changes in a relatively short amount of time.
  • 30s

By their 30s, many people are well on their way to whatever life path they've chosen. Due to a slowing metabolism, maintaining health becomes more important. It's harder to lose weight, and healthy diet and regular exercise are increasingly important. As always, try to stay healthy by avoiding risky or unhealthy behaviors or doing dangerous things. More specific health concerns you may come across in your 30s include mental and emotional health, skin health and back pain.
  • 40s - During this time it's increasingly important to have a healthy lifestyle, including a balanced diet and plenty of exercise.

During this time the metabolism slows considerably, so many new health concerns may develop. Some specific examples include sexual health problems such as dysfunction, increased risk of cancer, and hearing and vision loss. Make sure to get regular checkups and exams, especially if you have a history of illness in your family.
  • 50s - By this time, even the most healthy people are beginning to show their age. Risk of chronic health problems is heightened during these years.

As in previous decades, continue to eat well, exercise frequently, get enough sleep, avoid drugs and other risky activities, avoid stress, and maintain a healthy weight. Health risks that begin in our 40s or potentially earlier are now at increased risk, so make sure to continue your regular checkups.
  • 60s - During this time, physical health is usually markedly declining. Risk of chronic disease is higher than it was before.

At this age it's vital to be aware of chronic conditions that you are at risk of because of your age. In addition, it's important to maintain all health standards from previous years - eat well, avoid stress and sleep deficiency, make sure to exercise, and maintain a healthy weight. Make sure to get regular checkups. Be more careful with your body, as it's more fragile during this time.
