    President Kennedy told the people that the Soviet Union was installing new nuclear millies in Cuba.
  • Khrushchev

    He was angry at Kennedy's speech that talked about his plan so he took action and destroyed the U.S quarantine because it was a violation of a internatural law. Then he explains how the weapons were only for defence. And any fawl with Cuba, could lead to nuclear war.
  • Soviet Ships

    Khrushchev ordered Soviet ships to race toward the quarantine line. The Soviets threatened to sink any U.S. vessel that tried to prevent their passage to Cuba.
  • Soviet Ships turn around

    A lot of Soviet Ships were heading to Cuba but turned around.
  • Castro Cuban ar defenses

    The day before Castro had ordered Cuban air defense forces to fire on any U.S. aircraft that flew within range. Meanwhile, ExComm received reports that the missiles in Cuba were about to become operational (used).
  • The First Letter

    This letter was written by Khrushchev to Kennedy saying to avoid Nuclear war. Khrushchev indicated that the Soviet Union would take its missiles out of Cuba in return for a U.S. pledge not to invade the island.

    This letter was basically demanding that the United States remove its nuclear missiles from Turkey in return for a withdrawal of Soviet missiles from Cuba. Kennedy found the letter to be unacceptable and told him that he wasnt going to remove the nucler missiles and that he doesnt want to be embarrsed by the world.
