The signing of the Constitution is related to Conflicts of America because it was made to avoid conflicts within America like taxes and the amount of power the government has. -
Farmer Revolts
Farmers were angry about the unfair taxes the government issued on them. Rebellions, like the Whiskey Rebellion in 1794, were started by farmers, and this is related to Conflicts of America because Farmers were upset with the Government. -
Thomas Jefferson
Thomas Jefferson is related to Conflicts of America because he helped to avoid it. When Spain closed the Port of New Orleans in 1802, many Americans were ready to go to war. Thomas Jefferson offered to buy the land by taking part in the Louisiana Purchase, avoiding another war and gaining new land too. -
Conflict w/ France and England
France and England were not getting along very well, and declared war on each other. This began in 1803. America did not want to get dragged in, but they took part in trading with both Britain and France. This is related to Conflicts of America since they had to take part in the War after French and British captured American Ships. -
Tecumseh and Native American Unity
Native Americans were losing land to their neighboring white settlers. Beginning in 1809, Tecumseh began to recruit fellow Indians to fight against Americans for their land. This is related to the theme because eventually they would side with the British and that would mean another enemy of America. -
James Madison
James Madison and Congress declare war on Britain in 1812. This is related to the theme because now they are involved in a war which is pretty much caused by conflict (the conflict was that they were capturing American ships). -

From 1812 - 1814, Napolean is defeated, and this is related to the theme because now America has lost a potential "ally" and now has to fight Britain by itself. -

The British are defeated in 1814, and this is related to the theme because wars are primarily caused by conflict. -
James Monroe
He became president in 1817, and was the one who created the Monroe Doctrine. This is related to the theme because foreign powers wanted to reclaim their colonies and the Monroe Doctrine didn't allow them to. -
Monroe Doctrine
This is related to the theme because it prevented Foreign Powers to take back their colonies. It was created in 1823 and this could have led to a war because of this conflict. -
Andrew Jackson
He is related to the theme because he took part in fighting against the Seminoles. He also caused the Panic of 1837.
He was elected in 1828. -
Tension in Spanish Texas
As Stephen Austin brought more and more white settlers to Tejas, Tejanos disliked it. Later, the Mexican Goverment outlawed slavery in 1829. This is related to the theme because Texans and Tejanos did not respect each other and there is conflict because Americans could make a lot of money from slavery but since they couldnt do it they were pissed. -
Native American Removal Policy and Act
In 1830, Andrew Jackson created this policy to move Indians to Kansas. This is related to the theme because it created conflict between whites and natives since natives didnt want to move. -
Trail of Tears
In 1831, many Indians were forced west on the Trail of Tears, and many died along the long journey. This is related to the theme because they were subjected to force and this would create conflict between the two peoples that would never go away. -
Slave Rebellions
Many slave rebellions, like Nat Turner's Rebellion, were violent. This is related to the theme because there was a lot of conflict between Blacks and Whites since the Blacks are slaves to Whites. -
Texans Revolt
This is related to the theme because in 1833, the Texans revolted against the Mexican Government, and it relates since it was caused by conflict between the two. -
Native American Resistance
Many Indians did not want to leave their land. In 1835, Indians, like Osceleoa, fought against white settlers and this is related to the theme because they fought against each other. -
Worker's Rights
Many workers were treated unfairly and forced to work long hours in horrible living conditions. The Lowell company had to face strikes like the Lowell Strike in 1836. This is related to the theme because there was conflict between workers and companies. -
Panic of 1837
Andrew Jackson allowed banks to borrow money more easily, and this caused inflation. Later, there was a depression after the Panic of 1837. This is related to the theme because many people lost their jobs and were unemployed, and this created conflict between people and the Government. -
War with Mexico
This is related to the theme because it was caused by conflict between Texans and Tejanos. Also, wars are also considered conflicts. The War began in 1846. -
James Polk
This is related to the theme because he declared war on mexico in 1846. Wars are considered as conflicts. -
Immigration
By the end of 1850, there were many Irish immigrants. This is related to the theme because many Americans did not enjoy the amount of immigrants in their country and this created conflict. -
Civil War Begins
When Abraham Lincoln outlawed slavery, this caused many southern states to secede. They joined together to fight against the slave-free north and in 1861, the civil war began.
