    On September 11, 2001, a terrorist called the al-Qaeda hijacked four airplanes and carried out suicide attacks on target buildings in the United States. Two planes hit the World Trade Center in New York City, a third plane hit the Pentagon, and the fourth plane crash landed in a field in Pennsylvania. This tragic day, when 2753 people died, went down in history and lead to the Afghanistan War.

A group called the Taliban was said to be hiding the leader of al-Qaeda, Osama bin Laden and at the end of the war they were destroyed.     The countries involved in the Iraq War are the U.S., Iraq, and Great Britain. The U.S. and Great Britain feared that Iraq's nuclear weapons would aid in terrorist groups like al-Qaeda, so they went to war with Iraq. Saddam Hussein was executed in 2006 and a Democratic Government was set up in Iraq. **the war is still happening
