Blu-Ray Optical Discs are Released

Previously a strategy game franchise, World of Warcraft is released by Blizzard Entertainment as an MMORPG (Massive Multiplayer Online Role Playing Game).This allows users to create an avatar and create social and guild connections. At it's peak, World of Warcraft had 12 million players. -

Hitachi Global Storage Technologies developed the first one TB Hard Drive. In 1956, the first hard drive only had 3.75 MB of storage space, almost 300,000 times smaller than one TB and was almost thousands of times bigger. -
The First Bitcoin is Mined
In January of 2009, an internet user using the pseudonym Satoshi Nakamoto released the Bitcoin open-source code. He then mined the first code block, and a year later, a man made the first commercial transaction with Bitcoin, two pizzas from Papa John's for $10,000 BC. One BC is currently worth $9,323 USD
