Ada countess of Lovelace suggests a binary system to program an analitical engine. She writes the code and become the worlds first programer. She is of great importace because this is were the roots of computer programing comes from, her notes will lead into several forms of computer programing and inspire women in a "man's feild." -

The magnetic recorder is invented by Vladiemar Poulsen. The magnetic recording will lead to magnetic storage and secondary storage allowing people to save on these devices as a non-votile and portable storage unit. -
Flip-Flop Circuit
William Eccles and F.W. Jordan create the flip-flop circuit allowing signals to be fliped from A to B and vice versa. Allows data to be stored and a fundimental part of computers without these a computer would not be able to switch between signals. -
Complex Number Calculator
George Stibiz and Samual Williams complete the Complex Number Calculator. The first calculator to ever be used remotely. This is the predecessor to remore technology and not having to do sequencing by hand. -
First Video Game
MIT grads Steve Russell, Martin Graetz, and Wayne Wiitanen program Spacewar! The first video game. Not only the first but also a multiplayer, two people could play at a time. This games was built to inspire other programers to build their own, creating the start of the video industry thus the great importance of this game. -
Jobs and Gates
Steve Jobs started to tinker with Steve Wozniak the first of what will become Apple. Bill Gates and Paul Allen build the Atari BASIC and start the company Microsoft. Both these men and their respecitive companies have grown to become the powerhouses of computer and phone technology, reinventing the world and the way it thinks. -
Pixar
Steve Jobs pays George Lucus for the technological rights to Pixar. Letting Pixar start it's own company. The relationship between Pixar and Jobs will lead to its growth and embellishment into the Pixar known today. Pixars development of ToyStory was the first full feture film to be animated setting the standards for animation and story telling. -
Google
The company google finally starts after Larry Page and Sergey Brin started a research project in 1996. The creating of google will lead to the worlds largest search engine. Leading the world into new technologies and ways of thinking for example google maps and the new google glasses, google allows people to gather information like never before. -

iPod created by Apple and Xbox produced by Microsoft both released this year. Both ground breaking technologies for thier companies and the world. iPod reinovating the way you listen to music and eventually leading the iLine that changes the way you live your life. Now information is anywhere at any time, 'theres an app for that'. The Xbox completely reinvents gaming with the Xbox Live feture connecting gamers around the world and new games like Halo 2 with new graphic interface systems.
