    proclamation of 1763
    To prevent war between Colonist and Native Americans the British issued a proclamtion saying that no one could move or settle west of the Appilachian Moutians, it also evicted the people from their homes that had lived there
  • Sugar Act

    To pay for their French and Indian War debt the British taxed the colonists on sugar and molases commonly used items to make rum.

    Still paying for their war debt Britian taxed the colonists on newspapers, playing cards, dice, calenders, and legal papers

    Told the Colonists that British Parliment had a right to mske laws and pass taxes in the Colonies in whatever situation, therefore the laws made needed to aswell be followed and so do the ones they will make

    Taxed the Colonists on glass, paper, paint, led, and tea still trying to pay for War debt.
  • Boston Masacre

    Boston Masacre
    The Sons of Liberty, a group of radical Patriots, were protesting taxation by threw and screamed things at a group of British soldiers during the craziness somebody yelled "fire" and the British soldiers did fire. Five colonists were killed.

    Britian gave the British East India Company total controll over the tea trade because they wanted more power. the colonists were upset because of this act

    the sons of liberty dressed as Native Americans, ambushed a ship designated for a tea trade, and threw large amounts of tthe ships tea overboard into the boston harbor
  • Intolerable Acts

    In order to punish the Colonists fo the Tea party the British closed the Boston Harbor until the wasted tea was paid for, town meetings were banned, british soldiers were housed in private homes, and british soldiers were to be put on trial in order to prevent the colonist form influncing the juries decission.
  • Lexington and Concord

    Lexington and Concord
    700 British soilders marched alll night to lexington to capture weapons, supplies, and colonial leaders. there they met 70 minute men on the lexington green. the minutemen were defeated. On the way back to boston the soldiers were shot at by 4,000 more minute men. that is known as the "Shot heard around the world".

    a meeting held in Philidelphia to discuss lexington and concord.there thay wrote and sent the olive branch Pettition, a pettiontion trying to declare peace but later fails.they also decided to prepare for war just in case it starts.
