Pedro Menendes found St. Augustine on August 28 of 1565 so he named it San Augustin but later it changed to a more American name

When the Roanoke Colony Disappeared

People believe that they disappeared because of starvation, deadly storm or they got killed by the Spanish or the English

Jamestown Settlement got Established

This colony was found by rich men in Virginia then it failed because 400 or more settlers died from disease, the location and famine

When Pocahontas Married John Rolfe

They married because Pocahontas was captured and the dad was worried if she would decline his offer to get married

When did the House of Burgesses Start

A bit later the House of Burgesses split into 2 different sections in 1650. It was the first legislative assembly in the American Colonies

Plymouth Colony Founded

It was the first actual colony in Massachusetts. It was one of the first successful colony in the New England Colonies

William Penn Established the Pennsylvania Colony

He got kicked out of England because he was a quaker. The king owed his dad some land but since his dad was dead he gave the land to William.

When The North Carolina Colony was Founded

The earliest settler was Nathaniel Batts. They were the first to organize it's delegates to vote for freedom from the British.

When was the New Jersey Colony Founded

This colony was called the "breadbasket" colony because they grew a lot of wheat. They had farms that were almost 50 acres of land.
