    in 1585 Sir Walter Raleigh found Roanoke in North Carolina, Walters goals while he was there was to expand England territory search for special golds silvers and other riches. The people in Roanoke had lots of trouble farming in Roanoke, they were not prepared for winter In 1587 john white brought a second group to the colony and had trouble John went back to England to get supplies well he was a bit hung up on the war well when Jhon came bac nobody was there. people called it the lost colony.

The Virginia Company found this location, The Virginia Company wanted. to come to America from England to expand there land/territory, search for golds silvers even other riches and grow cash crops. John Smith was the captain of the Virginia company and got hurt very badly by a gunpowder explosion in his canoe and unfortunately had to leave his team to go to England to return to England.

    in the early ages in the 1600s I was forbidden to belong to other churches except for the church of England the pilgrims faced harsh treatment and persecution for their personal beliefs one group wanted to leave and to have nothing to do with the church of England so they named themselves the pilgrims than the pilgrims left out to North America they made this beautiful ship named Mayflower. they left September 1620.

As well each family had to make a( covenant ) means a contract with the church
    each family promised to follow the Puritan rules and forbid if they didn't they would leave the community.

    Roger Williams was the first man and the first person to leave the puritan tyrants behind.he left January 1636 when he went to meet the native Americans the (Narragansett) helped him truly survive the very cold winters. Rhode Island was the first colony to allow freedom of any type of religion.

    since the Puritan has been growing settlers needed more food land sources gold crops and cash crops and more land in 1637 Connecticut settlers had one of the biggest wars in history with the Pequot tribe IN 1638 they had defeated them .then the Pequot survivors joined the native America village nearby them then later on the Steelers moved north to what today is called NewHampshire .

William Penn's father had loaned some money to the king when Penn's father had passed away sadly king owed Penn some money from the loan so the king gave Penn the West Virginia and southwest of new york. eventually, William called this land Pennsylvania for Penns wood.
