Roanoke happened in 1585 though 1590, in North Carolina. Many people disappeared from Roanoke. Many people believe that the colonist were killed by Native Americans, or hostile Spaniards, or that they died from disease, famine, or victims of a deadly storm. Roanoke is important to history because it teaches us about the harassing of Spanish and how they got harassed to ship and mine for gold and silver. A fun fact about Roanoke is that Roanoke island is 8 miles long and 2 miles wide. -
Jamestown was the first permanent English colony in North America. Jamestown was founded in 1607 in Virgina. It was founded by a group of investors who wanted to profit off it. Jamestown was named after king James of England. Jamestown was the capitol of the Virgina colony of about 100 years! it was unfortunately suddenly abandoned after in was named Williumsburg in 1699. Surprisingly, the history of Jamestown was not good. The town had kidnaped children, slaves, and human cannibalism. -

The Mayflower/ Plymouth/ mayflower compact went from 1620 to 1691. The Mayflower compact was a document signed by 41 male passengers that were on the Mayflower. They established the form of government of the Plymouth colony. The Mayflower carried dried goods and wine. On this trip the Mayflower carried 102 Passengers that wanted to start a new life on the other side of the Atlantic. -
The Great migration of puritans started in 1620 to 1640. The great migration was the migration of the English puritans to the New England colonies. They started with Plymouth Colony and Massachusetts Bay Colony. They all came in family groups instead of being all alone on the migration. They were motivated to keep going for freedom to practice there beliefs. The Maryland toleration act started in 1649. It was a law passed by the assembly of the Maryland colony, in ST. Mary's city. It required religious freedom in the trinitarian Christians. It made blasphemy a crime and prohibited the calling of names. the act was made to attract more settlers of diverse Christian's persuasions to the colony. Although, the act was not in effect for the entire colonial period and was nullified several times. -
Carolina was founded in 1663 by King Charels ll, who gave 8 noblemen a big tract of land to the South of Virgina colony. The men called the new colony Carolina. The Carolinas have a rivalry between each other. They especially have a rivalry in American football. The Carolinas were known as the providence of Carolina during America's early colonial period, from 1633 to 1712. -
Bacon's rebellion went to 1676 to 1677. The Bacon's rebellion purpose was to gain government recognition of the shared interests among all social classes of the colony in the protecting of the commonality and investing its welfare. Also the goal of it was to change the Virginia's Native American policy. Bacon's rebellion was in Jamestown, colony of Virginia. -

The policy involved avoiding the strict Enforcment of parliamentary laws, especially trade laws, and as long as the colonies remained loyal to the Britain and contributed to its economic profitability. The Albany plan was a plan that the British-held American colonies under a single central government. The Albany plan of Union was too early 1754 to late 1754 In New York. Benjiman Franklin was the one who suggested it. Surprisingly, it was rejected by colonial legislatures and British officials. The plan was not adopted because the Colonies were not ready to give up their independents yet. -
The French Indian war started in 1754 and ended in 1763. the war was a fight over the Ohio river between Great Britin and France. The war also involved the Native American Allies from both sides. The war ended in 1763 with the British getting most French land in North America. -
The Proclamation of 1763 was a British produced boundary. It was marked in the Appalachian Mountains at the Eastern Continental Divide. The reason for it was because the British government didn't want American Colonists crossing the Appalachian mountains. They also didn't want them creating tension with the French and Native Americans there. King George the lll came up with the idea of the Proclamation of 1763. -

The Declaration of independents and the American flag were created in Philedalphia, Pennsylvania. The important war called the Civil war, and the battle of Gettysburg were located in Pennsylvania. -
Connecticut became a state in 1788 and it became a colony in 1662. Thomas Hooker is the one who found Connecticut. He found it because 1636 Thomas and one hundred members of his congregation headed south and found Connecticut.
