    The Founding of  Jamestown
    Was a expedition that was sent in order to profit such as gold. Devastating times happened upon the town, such as bad trading relations with local natives, not having enough food for winter, and the lack of supplies for shelter caused a huge tarving time in the winter of 1608. Later on Tobacco seeds where snuck into this town and wIth the growth of the crop people flocked to the area to profit. Alsothe natives helped the english survive later on.

    Creation of the House of Burgesses
    This the first typeof legislature type of govrerment in the America's which was created when settleres came to Jamestown. It was a govermemt of self rule where an towns could pick two representitives (Burgusseres) to represent the town and make important choices for the colony and town.
  • Founding of Plymouth

    Founding of Plymouth
    In 1620 100 english men and women arrived at Plymouth, most of them being puritans (people extermely devoted to god). Unlike the Jamestown people they came prepared to live in that area and brought adequet food and materials to build their home. Even with the supplies they faced hard times upon them during the winter and many died. With the help of local Natives they learned how to survive in the land and later had the first thanksgiving to thank each other for the help they gave to one another.

    Was the first serious battle between the indeginous people and the newcomers of america. The fighting first began with the Pequot people killing 13 people due to the expansion onto the land of theirs, Because of this an English force was assembled to punish the Pequots. The Pequots responded with a force of 200 people. As a respond to this the english attacked three villages at different dates through out the year resulting in a massacrers of the pequot people and the end of the war.

    Was a civil covenant in which three river towns decided to govern themselvs. This created an annual assemble of legislators and led to a election of a governer. This lead to the political development of this colony.

    This was a law that mandated that thereshould be religious tolerance for trinitarians. It was later revoked then reinstated and made it possible to presicute anyone who denied the devinit of hesus. Eventually it was finnally revoked after the glorious revolution and the protistan revolution.

    This was restrictions that were made by the British to limit foreign trading with the colonies. This act was primarly aimed to limitate Dutch trading. Later on there were even more limitations set that there were onl several products that could be exported out of the Americas.

    this event was know as the Native Americans last attemp to drive out the english from New England. Led by a Pokunoket chief named King Phillip he and other tribes created a bloody uprising that lasted over 14 months and destroyed over 12 frontier towns. Due to the build up of the need english good and dry up of the fur trade the tribes attacked. The war ended in agust 1676 when the leader was captured

    Due to native conflict local people of the Virginia Colony were pro to taking natives as slaves. They got one of the governers council members to help them with this task. They chose Bacon to lead them in this task. When the council didn't approve the task he rallied the people to go and fight tthe local indiands this evntually led to a civil war that was ended by the crown's interuption.

    It was a providence created by the BRitish out of The New Hampshire, Vermont, Conneticut, Massachusetts, Rhode Island, New York, New Jersey, and Maine(part of Mass.) colonies. It was created by the British in order to controll the trading and religious practices in unruly colonies. Eventuall due to man troubles and rebellions the Dominium Goverment crumbled and the colonies went back to the old ways.

    During the time of the the first colonist Europe was coming out of a craze that witches existed. At the time of 1692 the town of Salem were facing hard times. The daughters of the revren and another girl starting acting strange and during the trial they blamed three women for possesing them with witch craftery. This led to a witch trial were one admited to being a witch and got them sent to jail. With the build up of the trial eventuallyled to them being hanged on what is called Gallow's hill.

    This was a great movement of spritual growth from 1730-1760. this also brought an identity to the Colonial America. It was also a time in which religious enthiuasim grew more and more. These were led by prototestant ministers.
  • Peter Zenger trial

    Peter Zenger case was a buildingblock in America's hisrtory. Since after printing out articles that condemed the governer of assorted crimes he ws sent to court with a perr of jurors that were rigged. as the trial progressed even more articles were printed out of this deception until the jurors were changed and Peter ultimatly got the best Lawyer at the time. Eventually Peter Zenger was proven not guilty. This was a case that help introduce the freedom of speech to the America's
  • Stono's Rebellion

    Stono's Rebellion
    On this day 20 Black Men Slaves met by the Stono river and planned to escape. Minutes later they broke into a general store killed the store owners and stole guns and gunpowder. As they fled they fled even more slaves joined them. Later when the owners aught up to them there was a huuge battle and many died. This led to many more strict laws about slaves.
