  • Marshall Plan

    Harry S Truman created the Marshall Plan because he wanted to rebuild Europe when the war ended.

  • Red China

    This is where Communists took control of China. They entered the Korean War when they thought that U.N. forces could beat North Korea which is a communist country.

  • Hydrogen Bomb

    This is a more powerful bomb than the Atomic Bomb. We have not used this yet, and this requires an atomic bomb to detonate. That must be pretty powerful!

  • Lebanon

    There were a lot of riots going on in Lebanon, so our president made some U.S. soliders go in there to try to calm it down.

  • Sally Ride

    Sally became the first American woman to go to space.

  • China was under Martial Law

    There were thousands of protestors that were killed in Tinanmen Square in Bejing, China. The protesting stopped when China went under martial law until order was restored.

  • Rock and Roll Cola Wars

    This is where Coca Cola and Pepsi were competing for more customers and they hired famous rock and rollers to get more customers.

  • Foreign Debts

    There were a lot of foreign debts in the world at this time.
