  • Navigation Act

    Navigation Act
    Purpose of Act: The Navigation Act directed trade between England and colonies and it prevented colonists from sending products outside of Englands Empire.
    Outcome: This made colonist angry because they could get higher prices else where. The colonist started smuggling goods to get more money.
  • Proclomation of 1763

    Proclomation of 1763
    Purpose of Act: It was put into place to prvent more fighting by setting the Appalachian Mountains as the boundry.
    Outcome: It angered colonists who already bought land west of the boundry and conflicts arised.
  • Sugar Act

    Sugar Act
    Purpose of Act: It lowered the tax on molases to convince colonist to pay the tax.
    Outcome: They got angered because they believed British actions interfered with their right as English colonists.
  • Stamp Act

    Stamp Act
    Purpose of Act: The stamp Act taxed most printed material. Anything printed must have a stamp which you would recieve from a british official after you pay the tax.
    Outcome: It agered the colonists because it taxed them without their consent. The colonists then boycotted British goods.
  • Declaratory Act

    Declaratory Act
    Purpose of Act: The Act gave Parliment the right to tax and make desicions for the colonies in all cases.
    Outcome: Parliment started ishuing several acts agains the colonies which angered them.
  • Townshend Act

    Townshend Act
    Purpose of Act: This Act taxed paper tea and Glass.
    Outcome of Act: It agered colonist Because they didn't want to have to pay for these goods and the tax also. So the colonist boycotted the goods.
  • Tea Act

    Tea Act
    Purpose of Act: This act allowed theTea Companys to control the trade of tea to America.
    Outcome: The colonist Boycoted tea and dumped abunch of it into the Ocean, which is known as the Boston tea party.
  • Quebec Act

    Quebec Act
    Purpose of Act: It set up the government for Quebec, and it gave land west of the Appa;achian Mountains.
    Outcome of Act: It angered the colonists because they ingnored their land west of the Appalachian Mountains.
  • Coercive Acts (Intolerable Acts)

    Coercive Acts (Intolerable Acts)
    Purpose of Act: This Act punished colonists, it cloesd all boston harbors, which cut off all food and it forced Bostonians to shelter soldiers.
    Outcome of Act: It angered the colonists because it violated there rights as English citizens.
